Antler King Trophy Clover
|

TROPHY CLOVER MIX is a mixture of 4 perennial varieties of clover, a unique variety of chicory and a variety of rapeseed that is Antler King's hardiest and longest lasting perennial mix. Trophy Clover Mix can be planted in the Spring or Fall and provide your deer herd a 30% protein diet during the Spring, Summer and Fall. If you are looking for a food plot to give the deer what they need, when they need it, this is it!

WHY TROPHY CLOVER MIX? Because it is a hardy perennial, Trophy Clover Mix can last 6 years on a single planting! Offering high protein food sources like those found in Trophy Clover Mix are critical to your herd during Spring, Summer and Fall as protein will provide the driving force behind body, bone and antler growth. More protein=Bigger Bucks and Healthier Deer. The hand selected varieties of Clover and Chicory were chosen specifically because they are highly nutritious, palatable, digestible and attract more deer and turkeys than generic clover varieties. At maturity Trophy Clover Mix can grow 2-3 feet tall and provide up to 10 tons of high protein forage per acre. For best maintenance practice, mow trophy clover down to 6-8"" once it has reached 24"" tall or begins to flower, as flowers indicate maturity. Trophy Clover Mix provides it's highest level of protein, digestibility and nutrition when it is growing, so mowing will increase attraction. The variety of Rapeseed found in Trophy Clover Mix is present as a cover crop to help the small clovers establish themselves in year one (as Trophy Clover can grow roots as long as 24-30""), provide shade during a hot dry Summer and act as late season forage in the first year.

NUTRITION: Trophy Clover Mix is a very important part of your deer management program because it can provide 30% protein all Spring and Summer to help maximize your herd's potential...bucks, does and fawns all require high levels of protein during the "growing season" to survive and thrive. While the 4 varieties of clover and 1 variety of chicory provide high protein and important minerals for many years they aren't the only plants offering high quality nutrition to your deer herd. The leafy greens in this special rape variety can provide 15-20% protein and as the weather turns cold it will convert it's stored up starches into sweet high energy sugars, triggering maturity and increased consumption in the colder months. The plant varieties in Trophy Clover Mix offer your deer herd a year round food source that will grow and thrive well into the winter months and will green up early in the Spring offering your deer herd the optimum nutrition they need all year long. Trophy Clover Mix should be the foundation of your deer and land management program. We recommend planting 1/2 of your available food plots in a long lasting, high protein perennial like Trophy Clover Mix.

SPECIFICATIONS:

The highest protein and tonnage producing clover and chicory perennial mix on the market.

Provides up to 10 tons of 30% forage per acre.

Great food plot for deer and turkeys.

Lasts up to 6 years.

Treated with Antler King's Ultra Coat Orange for higher germination rates and increased forage yield.

Plant TROPHY CLOVER seeds less than 1/4"" deep.

Recommended starter fertilizer is 5-10-30 or 9-23-30 or 6-24-24 at 250lbs. per acre. Use 0-0-60 after plot is established.

pH should be between 6.2-7.0.

Available in 1/2 acre

Antler King Fall/Winter/Spring Food Plot Blend
|

***Please note change in bag size. Now 17 lbs, plants 1/4 acre.***

FALL/WINTER/SPRING Blend is comprised of a special variety of winter peas and a unique variety of fall rye. These unique varieties grow extremely fast (can be 6"" tall in only 10 days) and stay green all fall and winter. If you are an avid hunter and are looking for an unbelievable hunt plot, this is it!!

WHY FALL/WINTER/SPRING? While other plants like oats or clover die or become dormant during the winter, FALL/WINTER/SPRING Blend will continue to grow and be in excess of 20% protein during this time period. Fall/Winter/Spring is unique in that it grows extremely fast, stays green all winter long and can provide a highly nutritious, palatable and digestible diet that can sustain intense graze pressure all Fall and Winter. The special variety of Fall Rye (cereal Rye) is a cool-season plant that stays green and palatable all Winter long. It is easy to plant and can withstand less than ideal soil conditions and still grow well and be extremely attractive to your deer herd. The special variety of winter peas found in Fall/Winter/Spring are a great compliment to the Fall Rye and offer quick germination, fast growth, and highly nutritious forage. Fall/Winter/Spring also offers the ability to be mixed with other Antler King brand seed mixes as it does well in this environment and can be mixed with Honey Hole or Slam Dunk adding even more early and late season attraction!

NUTRITION: The Winter Peas in Fall/Winter Spring offer a 20-30% protein forage, are very cold tolerant and the entire plant (stem, leaves, pod) will be browsed and eaten by deer. The special variety of Fall Rye will offer a tender green food source with up to 15% protein and stay green all winter long. This combination of cool-season food sources makes Fall/Winter/Spring an extremely important Fall and Winter food plot mix for your deer and an extremely effective Fall and Winter hunt plot, as deer will congregate in this plot.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Unique annual blend that grows fast and stays green all winter long.

Contains Fall Rye and Winter Peas.

Unbelievable hunt plot.

Can be 6-8"" tall in 10 days.

Plant in fall only.

Will attract deer September thru January.

Great source of protein in early Spring to enhance antler development.

Recommended fertilizer is 19-19-19 or 15-15-15 at 300lbs. per acre.

pH should be between 5.5-7.0.

Antler King Honey Hole
|

HONEY HOLE is a mixture of 5 unique varieties of brassicas, which include 3 varieties of rape, and 2 varieties of turnips. This awesome Hunt Plot is an ideal plot for the fall and winter. After the first frost the plants go from bitter to sweet and the deer love them!! Because these plants will thrive with little or no tilling, anyone can create their own "HONEY HOLE."

WHY HONEY HOLE? Planted in the Spring, Summer or early Fall the plant varieties in Honey Hole will mature in 60-90 days and provide the whole deer family the PERFECT Fall and Winter food source. The plant varieties that make up Honey Hole are easy to use, establish fast and grow quickly...while a 6.0-7.0 pH is preferred Honey Hole can grow in a wide variety of soil conditions and is a little more tolerant to soil acidity than some food plot mixes. Deer will begin to consume the leafy greens as the plants begin to grow and mature, but once the weather turns cold and the plants are impacted by a hard killing frost or multiple hard frosts a molecular change occurs...this dramatic change triggers plant maturity and allows the plants to convert their stored up starches into sweet sugars. This change increases consumption and deer will flock to your Honey Hole plot to consume the sweet tasting sugary plants providing an extremely palatable, highly digestible energy source the deer need for survival. The hand picked plant varieties in Honey Hole make it the best Fall and Winter hunt plot available and is the foundation of any late season food plot and deer management program.

NUTRITION: Once established the leafy greens in this Brassica mixture will provide 16-22% protein and the bulbs in both turnip varieties slightly less protein. As the weather turns cold and the molecular change helps convert the starch to sugar these Brassicas will provide 4% gross energy (equivalent to corn). The benefit to Honey Hole over corn is that it provides the same amount of highly sought after energy in the Fall and Winter, but is much easier for a ruminant animal like a deer to digest as 60-90% of the turnip plant is digestible. When the weather turns cold deer seek what they need to survive and Honey Hole provides the vital food sources deer seek the most! Create your Honey Hole today!

SPECIFICATIONS:

Fast growing and easy to establish.

Cool weather will increase consumption.

Comprised of 5 varieties of Rape and Turnips.

For best results plant in late summer or early fall.

Treated with Antler King's Ultra Coat Orange for higher germination rates and increased forage yield.

Plant HONEY HOLE less than 1/4"" deep.

Recommended fertilizer is 19-19-19 or 13-13-13 at 300lbs. per acre.

pH should be between 5.5-6.5.

3 lb. Antler King Kale
|

This special variety of Antler King brand Kale is a member of the brassica family and is extremely cold tolerant, easy to establish and provides a fantastic cool-season food source for your deer. Kale is packed with protein (20-30%) and vitamins and can produce up to 10 tons of forage per acre. Kale will grow best in cooler climates as the plant's leaves will sweeten as the temps get colder. Like other brassicas, a frost will create a molecular change and further sweeten the leaves and increase attraction. Kale is best planted from July through October and works as a great Fall and Winter forage crop in the Southern US and a Summer, Fall and Winter forage crop in the North, Northeast, and Midwest. Kale prefers lighter soils; sandy, sandy loam or light clay and will perform best in a pH ranging from 5.5-7.0. Kale is a great food source planted on its own or mixed with grains or other brassicas. When planning your food plot program this year, including this special variety of Antler King brand Kale will add more variety and help create a smorgasbord to keep more deer on your property all season long.

SPECIFICATIONS:

pH tolerant and can grow in pH range 5.5-7.0

Easy to establish and fast growing

Drought and weather tolerant

1 lb. covers approximately 1/8 acre

15-30% protein depending on soil quality

Plant seeds 1/8"" or less

13-13-13 or 19-19-19 at 100-200 lbs. per acre

Antler King No Sweat No Till Plot Mix
|

NO SWEAT PLOT MIX is an excellent hunt plot for minimum or no till areas, such as logging roads, shady locations, or areas where you cannot use equipment. NO SWEAT contains the ideal mix of perennial and annual seeds, which have been chosen because they are shade tolerant, easy to establish, fast growing, pH tolerant and deer love them!

WHY NO SWEAT NO TILL? Finally a no till hunt plot with no fillers that provides protein in the Spring and Summer and Energy in the Fall and Winter. This unique no till hunt plot will come back for 2-3 years and will "sweeten" up your back woods deer stand. The special variety of perennial clover will provide high protein forage all Spring and Summer, keeping deer on your property until hunting season. As the weather turns cool deer will be attracted to the special variety of Oat found in No Sweat, which is extremely soil, weather and cold tolerant and is a superior Fall attractant that is ideal for bow and gun hunting. The variety of Rye will stay green well into the Fall and help sustain intense graze pressure allowing the cold season plants the time to mature for Fall/Winter consumption. When the first frost hits the Brassicas will turn from bitter to sweet, converting the starch to sugar and creating a highly attractive food source that is high in energy.

NUTRITION: No Sweat provides a versatile food plot option to feed deer the necessary protein and energy they require on a year round basis. The perennial clover will provide 20-30% protein forage all Spring and Summer to benefit body, bone and antler growth, whereas the highly digestible, palatable and nutritious Oats will provide optimum attraction and food during the Fall, allowing the Brassicas to mature. As the weather turns and your first killing frost occurs, a molecular change within the Brassica plants will trigger maturity and in turn convert starch to sugar offering late season energy sources for your resident deer herd. The "smorgasbord" that is No Sweat offers your deer a wide variety of food sources all Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter...it is easy to establish, grows fast and makes it easy to create your very own backwoods hunt plot with no equipment at all!

SPECIFICATIONS:

Shade tolerant.

Easy to establish.

Fast growing.

pH tolerant.

Little or no tilling needed.

Ideal mix of perennials and annuals.

Contains varieties of oats, rye, clover, canola and more.

4.5 lb.
